Join SCAN at Morton's Steakhouse on September 26, 2009 for a fabulous three course dinner to support a great cause. The cost is $75 per guest and $25 from each meal will be donated to SCAN. Visit this website to make a reservation for dinner. The amazing menu for the evening is:

Dine and Donate at The Melting Pot

Join SCAN at the Melting Pot on October 22, 2009. A portion of the proceeds from the evenings delicious menu will be donated to help SCAN continue to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect in Richmond. The restaurant is located at 9704 Gayton Road.
Community Yard Sales to benefit SCAN
November 7, 2009
SCAN will be holding several small yard sales on Saturday, November 7, 2009. All the proceeds will go directly to SCAN. Please check back for a list of locations. We will be collecting items throughout October. This would be a great time to clean out your homes to help SCAN create safer homes for children in Richmond. Items can be dropped off at 1506 Staples Mill Road between 9am - 5pm on weekdays. All donated items should be in good condition and all clothes should be washed before hand. We are not accepting any large pieces of furniture (couches, chairs, etc.) as we will not have any way of transporting them or storing them. Suggested items include childrens toys, tools, housewares, books, gently used clothes and small electronics.
The annual Christmas party to benefit Greater Richmond SCAN will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2009. More details and ticket information will be available soon. Dine at the Short Pump California Pizza Kitchen on December 9, 2009 and a portion of the proceeds will go to SCAN. This is a great opportunity to help Richmond area children while grabbing a business lunch, eating dinner with the family or having a night out with friends! Join us for the third annual Bourbon Street in Shockoe Bottom sponsored by SCAN's Board of Young Professionals. This event will be held on February 6, 2010 from 8pm - midnight at Main Street Station. More information about this event to come soon! Pictures from last years event can be found at www.danstooks.com/scan/bourbon Get ready for the second annual SCAN 5k Run/Walk and Kids Run on February 27, 2010. This event will take place at Short Pump Town Center. More details regarding this event to come soon. The 2009 race times can be viewed Here. The results of the 2009 Kids Run can be viewed Here. This invitation-only event sells out every year! The event begins with cocktails and appetizers at a private home. Guests are then transported to one of 26 private homes in and around Windsor Farms where they enjoy the main course. The evening ends at the Tuckahoe Woman's Club where guests enjoy dessert, live music, dancing and a live auction.
