June Swoon is an event in celebration of Marcy Handshaw and her compassionate work on behalf of SCAN. Greater Richmond SCAN's Toadally 80's Dance Party was held on June 21, 2008 at Toad's Place in Richmond. There was great music provided by R.E.M. Tribute band Onion Head and DJ Enzo.

Townes Site Engineering hosted the Annual Tee Off Classic to benefit SCAN on May 22, 2008 at The Country Club at the Highlands in Chesterfield, VA. Thank you for making this years Progressive Dinner a success! The event began with cocktails and appetizers at a private home. Guests were then transported to one of 26 private homes in and around Windsor Farms where they enjoyed the main course. The evening ended at the Tuckahoe Woman's Club where guests enjoyed dessert, live music, dancing and a live auction.
