Interviews and Medical Exams at the CAC

Forensic interviews and medical exams at the CAC are available by appointment only.  Child Protective Services workers, Police Detectives and/or Medical Staff may contact the CAC at (804) 643-7226 to schedule an appointment.

Multidisciplinary Approach

Greater Richmond SCAN's CAC strongly encourages the use of a multidisciplinary approach to the investigation, treatment and prosecution of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse.  The CAC especially promotes the use of joint, video recorded interviews of child victims.

If your locality does not currently have a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) in place, you may contact SCAN's CAC for information and support to develop a team in your locality.
